Hidden gem. The food is always amazing, the staff are great, and the atmosphere is one of a kind. You literally feel like you’re walking up stairs to a broom closet and then, boom!, you’re in a casual fine dining, brick walled joy of seafood and Italian cuisine. The portions are large and wine is wonderful. Arrive right at 5 to get a table if you don’t have a reservation. This place fills up fast even on a random Tuesday. Oh and get the scungilli appetizer. My Long Island beauty says it reminds her of home.

We moved out of Richmond, so it has been over 10 years since we last visited Edo's Squid. It did not disappoint. Fantastic meal from start to finish! From the moment we walked in- absolutely incredible aromas. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The portion sizes are incredibly generous. I got two full meals out of my pasta ($24). We started with the white bean and arugula crostini, which was simple yet vibrant and packed with flavor. I ordered the broccoli rabe pasta with garlic and olive oil (with ricotta), and it was outstanding. If you're a garlic lover, this dish is a must. My husband had the Squid Napoletana, and the portion was huge. I'm not usually a squid fan, but it was so tender. Excellent food, generous portions, and a great overall experience. Already looking forward to coming back!

Great food served family style with generous helpings. The entrance is different and deceiving , kinda makes you feel like you're going into an exclusive club that no one is supposed to know about, but then you open the door into a modern style restaurant set in a historic building. I had the flank steak, and it was delicious! The calamari and the squid salads were also plentiful and delicious.

Do not let the outdoor sign that features shared billing for TWO (separate) restaraunts fool you. Do not let the mention of SQUID on the outdoor sign the shouts "HIBACHI BOX" fool you either! Edo's Squid his is NOT an Asian restaurant. EDO's SQUID is is an authentic ITALIAN restaurant, located upstairs, over the street level Hibachi Box, located on the ground floor. Get reservations! The place is small but lively. Edo's specializes in fresh seafood dishes, and serves family style for bigger groups, and individual style portions for smaller group tables. The vino flows in abundance. The menu features crisp greens, fresh vegetables, beef, chicken, pork and seafood entrees, and PASTA! The food here is for real -- as good as, or better than, what you could get in Florence Italy. Save the airfare to Europe! GET IN HERE INSTEAD. 5 Stars

Finally made it here! The baked cabbage dish is on another level of just deliciousness. The pasta is perfect, paired with incredible wine and bread. Portions are very large, which is perfect because I need this more than once in my life! We sat at the bar and the service was prompt and thorough. We were given great recommendations. I would recommend a reservation as, we got in line at 445pm for the 5pm open. While we were able to sit at the bar, it filled up immediately.
